On Saturday, a 20 strong Faughan Valley team arrived at Foyle Golf Club for the away leg of the annual Two Bridges competition.

Holding an 8.5 to 1.5 lead from their home leg, Faughan Valley were quietly confident of gaining the two points they needed to take the trophy home for only the second time in the competition’s history.

This confidence was quickly knocked aside when Foyle arrived on the first tee with a team sporting 15 changes from the one that had contested the first leg.
