Early pain can’t stop David from cruising to Blaris Lodge victory
After dropping nine strokes in the first eight holes, David registered his first par at the ninth for an outward total of 17 points.
That settled him down and he never looked back, ripping up the back nine in only 38 shots.

His total of 42 points gave him a three point advantage over seven competitors: David Wightman, Jim Bell, Michael Leathem, Norman McNellis, Kyle Patton, David Tinsley and Aaron Marshall.
David Wightman was awarded second place with Jim Bell third on count-back.
Ryan Symington seemed certain to win the best gross prize after completing the front nine in only 33. At this stage, Norman McNellis trailed by two strokes but he made up the difference on the back nine by coming home in 38 against Ryan’s 40 to win on count-back.
