Took a chance to drive to top up his electricity
Ryan Steele, whose address was given as Kilnhill Road, Ballyward, was fined £200 for the offence last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court.
He was also banned from driving for three months and he was also ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

Hide AdA £40 fine was imposed for a defective tyre and he was fined £25 for not displaying ‘L’ plates.
The court heard the offences came to light when he was stopped on the Dromara Road, Castlewellan.
A barrister representing the defendant said his client was a provisional licence holder.
He explained that Steele had taken a chance after his electricity ran out and he went to get it charged up.
