Minister Attwood congratulates 'projects for young people'
The projects were funded by the Department for Social Development’s Modernisation Fund Capital Programme.
The Minister hosted an event in the Ramada Hotel, Belfast to recognise all the Northern Ireland projects’ success and provide an opportunity for voluntary and community sector groups to network and share ideas.

Hide AdThe projects include Coleraine Rural Urban Network; Kilcranny House, Coleraine; Orchardville Society; Citizens’ Advice Bureau; Shaftesbury Recreational Centre; Newington Credit Union; Belfast Exposed Photography; Corpus Christie; An Culturlann; and Ionad Uibh Eachach.
Mr Attwood said: “The importance of the achievements made by voluntary and community sector organisations in addressing the needs of disadvantaged children and young people in our community cannot be underestimated.
“These projects have made a difference and I congratulate the hard work for all those involved.
“The aim of the Modernisation Fund Capital Project has been to target resources in a way that has maximum impact and it is very encouraging to see that these aims are being achieved in practical terms as demonstrated by numerous projects across Northern Ireland.”
