Jordanstown School pupils enjoy healthy project
Pupils at Jordanstown School for deaf and visually impaired children have clocked up over 650 miles throughout June after embracing the Daily Mile initiative.
Students and staff walked a mile per day, give or take the odd day missed due to exams. They enjoyed a whole school approach, with everyone including cleaners and bus drivers taking the time to enjoy some fresh air together.
A spokesperson for the school said: “We hope we’ve inspired other mainstream and special schools alike to embrace this great Initiative, and are happy to share and compare our results of how far we’ve walked with other local schools.”
