Gray to seek support for People's Vote
In a statement, Lauren said that a People’s Vote was vital to “allow the electorate of the UK to have a voice in deciding to accept any deal negotiated with the UK or to stay in the EU, or in the event of no deal to decide between leaving and remaining in the EU”.
It follows her Alliance colleagues, including those on Mid and East Antrim Council, attempting to bring similar motions to other councils across Northern Ireland.

Hide AdLauren said: “Brexit is a huge act of self-harm for the UK, with significant damage facing Northern Ireland in particular. People didn’t vote to drive our economy or health service off a cliff.
“Support is growing across the political spectrum for a People’s Vote. The electorate must have their say before any deal is finalised and if elected, I will seek to give Mid and East Antrim Council the chance to join in backing such a motion. Given the strong Remain vote in Northern Ireland, it is important local councils are seen to be taking a stand and representing local people.”
