Duck divers raise biggest amount in St Patrick's Day splash
BRAVE divers have helped to raise the biggest amount ever for the annual duck dive.
Last year £6,295 was raised for the RNLI, but this year's total reached an amazing £6,250.
Shenanigans in Portstewart hosted the handover to the RNLI at the weekend.
Duck Dive committee members, Phillip Deeney, Richard Briggs and Henry McKinney wish to thank the staff and owners of Shenanigans for their continued support.
They also wish to thank Mark Polly and his staff of John Dory Fish and Chip shops, Belfast, for their continued support, all the business premises of Portstewart who donated prizes for the raffle, Robin Cardwell and Judy Barr of the RNLI for their help on the day, and of course the brave souls who forgot about the cold and took the leap into the Herring Pond.
The committee would also like to thank Charlie Trolan of Supervalu in Portstewart and his suppliers, this year, Charlie managed to raise £2,294.00.
