Video: Dramatic rescue of walker injured on Slemish

Members of the North West Rescue team carry out the rescue.

A woman has been rescued from Slemish by the North West Mountain Rescue team after being injured during a climb.

Over 20 volunteers from the team were involved in the rescue on Sunday after they responded to a request from the PSNI to help a walker, reported injured on the mountain.

The woman had suffered an injury to her ankle and after a long and difficult rescue, she was carried to safety by stretcher.
