Bann Rowing Club, renowned for its success on the water with Olympian, International, Irish and UK Champions in its ranks, has been given the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Such sporting prowess demands intense personal commitment but perhaps less well known is the vital part played, over many years, by the Club’s volunteers.

They coach, support and create the opportunity for people of all ages, and from across the community, to enjoy and excel in the art and sport of rowing.
