Ballymoney History talks to start
The series, entitled ‘Call to Arms’, explores the many calls to arms which echoed throughout the early years of the twentieth century. The talk looks at the establishment of the Ulster Volunteer Force and the Irish National Volunteers and gives a powerful insight into a time when people felt they had to resort to extreme measures in defence of things they held dear. Admission is £2. The series continues on 16th March when Mr Blair will be providing a background to the Easter Rising 1916, and concludes on April 6 when he will be focussing on Gallipoli and the Somme.
